this is a railroad siding in Tigard, OR, recently retired when the local willamette & pacific railroad laid new track in the area. the new siding follows the original (still active) right-of-way and is on the other side of the trees to the left. the siding here was disconnected when the crossings were re-done. construction of the entire line from Beaverton down to Wilsonville is part of a commuter rail project which is supposed to cut some of the congestion on interstate 5 and state highway 99 which run between the two cities.

this scan also happens to be from the first roll of film through my new Rollei 35 S, given to me as a late birthday present by my brother-in-law. (I'll get some pornshots of the Rollei later along with its story.)
